Case VIII

Case : VIII Learning Problems Treatment

Dr XxxxxDR Xxxxx: This case illustrates the difficulty of assessing and treating developmental and learning problems in children.  Delayed milestones, Development delay, learning difficulty, Speech and language disorders, stupid children, and bad naughty children may all be presentations of the Paill Spectrum syndrome.

Many specialists are consulted but little is achieved.

Paill Spectrum therapy can make a difference to school performance and memory.   Testing by blood tests and memory recall for numbers: are better, more reliable and observer independent methods of assessing children. Parents can do some simple assessments themselves.  Neuropsychiatric and developmental assessments are the norm, but much simpler assessments such as number recall, may indicate a much more treatable problem.

Other symptoms such as bruising, clumsiness, and poor memory are important parts of the syndrome

ErasmusErasmus: Making a difference is easy. Why let your kid's brain cook off while that stupid doctor watches and just says ponderous useless things? It's not "his" kid. "He" probably has no idea what is going on or what to do about it. Sending you somewhere else won't do any good and the damage keeps on progressing. Don't leave your child's future in someone else's uncaring hands.

Female, now 7 years three months old

Paill Spectrum assessment is simple, can be objective when the blood tests is used. response to therapy can be verified both in terms of symptoms and in terms of the blood test results.

Past history:

Atopic rash at 12 month of age, four years old

Asthma approximately at two years old, four years old: mild

Gingivitis approximately at three years old

A hearing test has been suggested.

Report presented to the doctor: Female, Grade 1 at 5 years and six months of age

Case 8    Link Layer 2

Case 8 was referred to the Support teacher: Learning Difficulties by her class teacher because she wished to know her dominant learning channel so that her intervention program could be better channelled to meet her needs.

Case 8    Link Layer 3

Case 8 was assessed in small group situation. Case 8 presented as a happy compliant child who willingly attempted all tasks asked of her. She is young (November birthday) and she found it difficult to remain on task. She did not know her telephone number or address. She uses standard English speech patterns and sentence structures. Back to top

The Early Years Easy Screen (EYES) indicated that her dominant learning channel is Kinaesthetic. She performed the visual memory task well but had difficulty with visual discrimination tasks with orientation. She had a little difficulty with the visual sequential memory tasks in that she could retain and recall items but not in the correct sequence. She had difficulty matching word and letter shapes. This relates to the difficulty with visual discrimination.

While she performed the identification of gross environmental sounds well, she had difficulty with fine environmental sound discrimination. She was able to locate a chosen sound. In the auditory sequential memory test, she could retain and recall only two items.

I feel that some of the difficulty experienced by Case 8 may be due to her immaturity.

Recommendations: Back to top

That Case 8 has a full auditory assessment.

That Case 8 has a full optometric assessment

That wherever possible and practical, Case 8 is given short tasks that she can perform before losing her concentration. The length of the task can be extended as she gains a greater attention span.

That Case 8 manipulates concrete materials top assist in her understanding

That Case 8 is encouraged to focus on her tasks.

Patient noted to sleep for 11 hours per night, mum says there are no naps on weekends or at other times, but the girl seems to like to have an extra nap before school.

History suggests she is a little impulsive in what she does and that perhaps she is a little forgetful

Frobisher Beethoven Currently, there is no proof that the Paill Spectrum model reflects an understanding of the physical world, as it exists. Still many doctors are foolish enough to believe that they (or the medical establishment) are able to know the answers, in a situation where there obviously are no answers at this time.

KinkajouKinkajou: " So they can't say the theory is wrong, because they don't know what is right".

ErasmusErasmus: Erasmus : "You should know by now the guys in charge always say they are right, mainly because they are bloody mindedly certain that they can't be wrong". Only a true psychotic would believe he / she is always right without due consideration of the circumstances.

Frobisher Beethoven : In interviews with our genesis doctor, the good doctor told Erasmus and Kinkajou about the years of consideration he has given the issue . His compatriot Dr Xxxxx says that after all the time spent learning to understand the advance inherent in the Paill Spectrum illness model, the theory works well and there has never been any experience or event that has cast any doubt about the theory and its practical applications. The medical establishment after looking at the issue for anything up to a few minutes believes the theory is wrong. The problem of course is that they have no idea what is right or what the answer is. Things just happen, seemingly by magic.

ErasmusErasmus: In the Paill Spectrum model of illnesses, there is NO event that occurs without a biomechanical cause. Everything happens for a reason. Often one of the Paill Spectrum reasons.

KinkajouKinkajou: So you reckon , there are no Acts of God.

ErasmusErasmus: Our doctor panel says "Every event that occurs in sickness or health", occurs as a result of changes in the functioning of the biological machinery of the body.

KinkajouKinkajou: How radical is that!

ErasmusErasmus: Hard to believe that in the 21st century , so many educated idiots believe in magic and only give lip service to the scientific method.

The model has been seen to work well in standard medical practice, according to Dr. Xxxxx. Even if only the most rudimentary of treatment interventions are used, they can give unusually good results, if the Paill Spectrum model is followed. Why trust Medical people who know they are right but don't have any answers? They can't tell you what to do to save yourself. See our advice sheets.

Dr AXxxxx Dr AXxxxx : Educators and our Medical Advisors clamour for early diagnosis of children with learning problems. Yet these idiots can't agree on simple screening tests for learning problems. They cannot even agree on a definition of a problem such as dyslexia. Why bother anyway ? The answer these fools promulgate is that we need to identify affected children early so we can educate them better.

Dr Xxxxx Dr Xxxxx: Paill Spectrum proposes a very simple memory test to identify affected children. Embarrassingly, a teacher friend told me that you don't even need to do that. Just look around the classroom and you can see the kids whose lights are out and no one home. Education has some relevance but only after proper medical intervention for Paill Spectrum.

Dr AXxxxx Dr AXxxxx : Education ! (sneers Dr AXxxxx). How do you educate someone with brain damage? Its pretty obvious that you need to stop the progressive brain damage.

Erasmus Erasmus: So tell us a story, doc!
